The Lobster Tale
King Lobster Krew is a Montreal based music collective led by drummer, vocalist, and songwriter, Vitta Morales. As a Maritimer born to Salvadoran parents, and an alumni of McGill University’s Schulich School of Music, Vitta, (along with his krew of musicians), write in a style best described as a thick milkshake of Latin beats, alt/surf rock, and loud jazz. Between its members, the band’s playing experience includes performances at the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the Victoria Ska Fest, the Toronto Undergraduate Jazz Festival, the Harvest Music Festival, as well as opening for artists such as Mdou Moctar. King Lobster Krew released their self-titled debut album in 2021 followed by a live EP in 2022. Supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, the band is currently working on their second studio album set to release in 2025.
